definition-of -muslimsMoslem definition the only one that can be applied only definition that clearly proved to come from the Prophet and that clearly narrated from the Messenger of Allah and proved to be applied at the time of the Prophet and Khilafat Rashideen.

Messenger of Allah defines Islam as follows: “Islam is should testify that there is no god except Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, pray, pay zakat, fasting in Ramadan, and the Hajj pilgrimage in Mecca.” (H. Muslim)

The definition of “believers” By Al-Quran

“The believers are only those who believe in Allah and His Messenger and, when they are [meeting] with him for a matter of common interest, do not depart until they have asked his permission. Indeed, those who ask your permission, [O Muhammad] – those are the ones who believe in Allah and His Messenger. So when they ask your permission for something of their affairs, then give permission to whom you will among them and ask forgiveness for them of Allah . Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.” (Al-Quran, Surah An-Nur, 24:62)

The believers are only the ones who have believed in Allah and His Messenger and then doubt not but strive with their properties and their lives in the cause of Allah . It is those who are the truthful. (Al-Quran, Surah Al-Hujurat, 49:15)

The definition of “Moslem” By Prophet Muhammad

On the authority of Abdullah, the son of Umar ibn al-Khattab (ra), who said:

I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say, “Islam has been built on five [pillars]: testifying that there is no deity worthy of worship except Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, establishing the salah (prayer), paying the zakat (obligatory charity), making the hajj (pilgrimage) to the House, and fasting in Ramadhan.” [Bukhari & Muslim]

We can see this principle, while efforts are being made to define a Muslim, it will not be empty of shortcomings and vices. Especially at this time when Islam split into a diverse group of sects and doctrines. It is impossible to take the definition of one of them because it would be opposed by other factions. And another one will blame each other.

It is a good deed that is taught by the Prophet that through the definition in words very complete have laid the foundations among the nations in the unity of the Islamic world. To be a good Muslim, Messenger of Allah never taught to hate and hostile to people of other faiths.

As long as a person believes and practice in accordance with the definition of a Muslim who taught Messenger of Allah above, he is a Muslim.
